Stargate Props and Costumes

Hi!
Blade here. I'm a new forum member, but an old Stargate fan. I never got to see the original Stargate SG-1 series run on the ScyFy channel. I've been watching it in syndication on various TV platforms since it then. Currently watching it on the local Comet TV channel for the last few years. Still haven't seen every episode. But I'm really getting hooked - and caught up.

I'm a big fan of Star Wars as well, and getting into the international cosplay community built around it. I would like to do the same for Stargate. I've decided to start building a team SG-1 costume and collect the basic props for it. I'm also interested in hooking up with other fans and members in my region, to exchange ideas and show off our Stargate fandom at local expos or cons.
