Test Your Whisper Caches
Whisper Caches are a sensible place to start because they have previously been affected by Forgotten Soul reward issues.
After an update, complete enough Whisper activities to obtain a cache and check the material count before opening it. This gives you a simple way to confirm that the expected Forgotten Souls are actually being added to your inventory.
If the rewards look correct, Whispers can remain part of your regular farming rotation. If they do not, it makes sense to shift your attention elsewhere until the problem is resolved.
The important point is not to rely entirely on old reports. A patch can fix an existing problem just as easily as it can change a reward structure.
