Hunt Fireflies in ARC Raiders: play mid-range, crack the weak spot fast, grab the Firefly Burner, then loop outdoor hotspots into a safe extract for steady late-game crafting mats.

If you've been living in ARC Raiders since Shrouded Sky dropped, you've probably had that moment where the sky goes loud and a Firefly drifts in like it owns the place. It's not just "another drone." It's a roaming tax on bad positioning, and it'll burn you down before you even figure out the angle. The upside is obvious: the Firefly Burner is a key piece for late-game crafting, so learning this fight pays off fast. And if you're the type who'd rather keep your stash moving between runs, grabbing supplies or trading up for gear through services like EZNPC can help you stay stocked without turning every raid into a desperate scavenger crawl.

Play the Range Game

The Firefly's flamethrower is what gets people killed, not the raw health pool. Stay too close, you're boxed in by your own panic. Mid-to-long range is where you can actually read the cone, step back, and let cover do the work. Don't stand in open yards trying to "out-DPS" it. Use containers, broken walls, the corners of big machinery—anything that forces it to reposition. Start the fight with something that hits hard right away: a launcher shot, a well-timed grenade, or a few heavy rifle rounds to crack plating. Then slow down. Peek, place shots, drop back. If you're missing, don't keep spraying; just reset and wait for the next clean window.

Clear the Noise First

A Firefly fight goes sideways when the little stuff joins in. Ticks, Hornets, random patrols—whatever slips in behind you will ruin your rhythm. Before you commit, do a quick sweep and make the area boring. In a squad, give people jobs. One person keeps eyes on the drone and calls its movement, the others clean adds and watch flanks. Simple callouts work best: "armor's open," "left push," "I'm burning." Also, don't stack in the same cover. The flames punish that. Spread out so if one player gets forced off an angle, the whole team doesn't collapse.

Loadout and Farming Loops

Bring a primary that punches and a backup that handles fast targets. A DMR or high-impact rifle feels great for weak-spot work, and an SMG or quick AR saves you when bots rush your feet. Anything that helps stamina, burn resistance, or quick healing is worth the slot. For farming, don't wander. Run a loop through open industrial yards and outdoor objectives where Fireflies like to roam. If it doesn't spawn, you still leave with materials and side loot. Keep your ears open for the hum and that unmistakable roar, and if you want to speed up progression between crafting grinds, topping off with ARC Raiders Coins can keep your upgrades and kits from stalling mid-session.
