Ribbon Device Castings162 viewsHere are some castings of the Ribbon Device. I did not trim the extra resin off, but this photo shows that the castings are looking nice.

Ribbon Device Prop193 viewsAnother shot of the Ribbon Device. There is extra resin that needs to be trimmed off from many of the parts. Also, nothing was glued in this photo -- gravity is holding it together! The upper crystal will ultimately be a light pink color.

Ribbon Device Prop206 viewsHere are some test castings of the Ribbon Device. The upper crystal should be a very faint pink color. I used the red resin I had mixed up for the center crystal, so that is why it's dark red.

Test Casting of Center Crystal178 viewsTo make the center crystal of the Ribbon Device I tinted my resin with red tint from Smooth-On. This test casting needs to have extra resin trimmed off, and also has air bubbles inside the casting. Future castings will need to be made in a pressure chamber.
