If you didn't know, Gatecon is rebooting their Vancouver based conventions this year after being absent from the city for a few years. The convention is largely focused on Richard Dean Anderson, but most other notable Stargate actors will be participating at some level.
What will be missed by most long time fans of this convention will be the set tours (impossible to do with them being destroyed) however the organizers are planning sight seeing tours to many of the filming locations used during the show.
With Creation killing their Stargate conventions this year, Gatecon will be the only North American based Stargate convention moving forward. I say this because Gatecon will probably be continuing at least into 2017.
The only question remaining is will anyone carry the torch after Creation with a US based Stargate con ...
