Thought i would post this up for any other Aussies interesting in attending Conventions in Melbourne this year, we already had Chris Judge down earlier in the year, but the main upcoming events are:

Oooh you lucky things ... getting the delights of Hewlett, Shanks, Smith, Jones & Shea.

I can vouch for Dan Shea being an absolute scream from first hand experience!

Everytime I was meant to meet Michael Shanks he cancelled ... he's obviously avoiding me

I'm hanging out to meet Hewlett, Jones and Shea the most, i want to buy a HUGE wrench, coz i just wanna get a photo with Dan and a HUGE wrench Heehee! I'm gonna buy a Flightsuit to wear to that convention

I'm very excited about meeting Hewlett as well, because it'll mean i've meet all of the original cast of Atlantis, like Seson 1 cast! Torri, Rainbow, Rachel and Joe... just Hewett to go

And Gary Jones is just gonna be fantastic, can't wait, gonna be awesome, he was spose to come out another year but had to cancel so REALLY looking forward to it!!

Lucky, lucky you - that's all I can say!!

Have met a few of the original cast of SG (Rick Anderson, Amanda Tapping (twice), Dan Shea, Corin Nemec and the late, great Don S Davis) and a few of Atlantis (Torri, Jason M, David N) but never Hewlett!! He's actually emerged as my favourite character in the last couple of Seasons, so would love to see him sometime.

My friend who runs the Melbourne conventions i attend wants to get Amanda out coz it'd be amazing, but also... he just wants to see me pass out Coz i soooooo reckon it'll happen, huge Amanda Tapping fan here!

Hoping to get Rick to do a con here, but who knows... i can always hope! We have Robert Picardo coming out to Sydney next year which will be exciting!

Oh and if you do look at the videos, i am one of 'The Evil Vegemite Girls' there are three of us and at every convention we go to that a Stargate actor is at we give them Vegemite and get them to taste it on stage, it's VERY entertaining

Wow that's an impressive meet and greet list you've got there Smiley! We don't get nearly enough SG actors out over here, and when we do it's "guy-who-got-zatted-in-the-background-in-frame-32"

Anyway, I know there's a couple other Aussies lurking in the forms so get out there and enjoy those great conventions folks!

Oooh I forgot about Connor Trinneer too! He was there with his 'Star Trek' hat on though

He done a Q&A with one of his co-stars and I'm sure you'll agree with me, he's one of the most genuine and down to earth actors I've ever had the pleasure to meet

Conner mostly talked about StarTrek during his Q & A when we met him too, but i'm not into it, actually never seen it so was pretty bored... and he wouldn't try the Vegemite when we gave it to him But he was alright... i got to sit next to him and Peter during the Autogragh sessions, Peter is absolutely hilarious!

But yeah Conner was pretty good too, he went out to the Ice Bar in Melbourne with some of my friends the night after the convention, i couldn't go coz i had to work :P
