I've owned my V8 Vantage for about three years now and it's been an absolute dream to drive, but just last week I started noticing this faint clicking or ticking noise coming from what sounds like the rear of the car, almost like a small stone stuck in the tire tread but it's definitely coming from the drivetrain somewhere because it changes with speed and gets faster as I accelerate. I've had a few Aston Martins over the years and I know they have their share of quirks, but this noise is new and it's got me genuinely worried because these cars are not cheap to fix and I've heard some absolute horror stories about engine and transmission issues that cost more than the car is worth to repair. I took it to a general mechanic who said he couldn't hear anything unusual, which I think just means he's not familiar enough with these cars to know what's normal and what isn't, because I've been driving this car long enough to know when something feels off. I'm thinking it could be anything from a worn wheel bearing to something more serious like the differential or even the clutch release bearing, but I really need someone who knows these cars inside and out to properly diagnose it before I end up stranded on the side of the road. I'm looking for an Aston Martin Workshop in Abu Dhabi that has experienced technicians who work on these cars regularly, because I don't want to trust my baby to just anyone who's going to learn on the job with my car as their guinea pig. Has anyone had a good experience with a shop that really knows their way around Aston Martins and can properly diagnose drivetrain noises?
