Ancient stunner weapon (Aurora) SGA

Hi all, I picked up an Ancient hand weapon from one of the auctions from propworx, and I'm a little bummed about the handle being made of foam. One of the guys told me at the con there was 1 or 2 with a plastic handle, I want to attempt to use this as my first casting model. I've already disassemble...

So what would be used to mix in with resin to change its pigment? I have sculpted a crystal, needs to be sanded and smoothed.... I made it with 10 sides...oops :) From what I can tell the show ones are all 6 sided. Gonna make a mold with some soft goopy stuff I have and try my hand at making a few w...

Awwww, you didn't think my Ancient laser pistol is a highlight :( I'm gonna have some more questions for you soon about molding/casting etc, like to make some duplicates. Having a set used prop in hand really shows how much better fan made replicas are. My fiancee loves my ZPM made my Lord_Trael on ...

Yes but you can get the craptastic first half of the season on DVD and Blu Ray much much sooner. I actually really liked the last episode, a few people actually did something, not much mind you, but something. And there was an alien ship, which is much more exciting than watching the crew memb...

Hey Astra, nice work so far, do you have every figure or what :P I like a fool thought, eh, I'll get these later for cheaper than $15 a piece. :( Now I doubt I'll ever get the general and black ops Oneil. Got a bunch of great deals, even got some extra recently, made some customs, working on more. H...

As I am unable to find a Zat gun that raises and lowers itself, and lack the time and skill to make a hollow one. I am going to make a full story background to go with my car, my characters are going to be from an alternate reality, so some things will be a bit different. Make it easier to explain h...

I agree with you Gmechanic, its not all BSG, but plenty seems that way. I laughed with the music playing every time it shows the ship. I'm used to hearing engine noise. Hopefully they will return to the typical SG style after a bit. I just saw the magazine on ebay a minute ago, seems like they are r...

Saw it, my fiancee watched a few minutes, didn't like the shaky camera style. Kind of a bummer that the whole show went to BSG style everything.

They mentioned sending them a dialing device after, there was several hours lag time when Eli stayed on the planet to wait. Probably got them back to the ship in the remaining hours, I can't see them getting to return to the planet to help after the stunt they pulled.

I'd doubt the repair base in space as the ship's course, shown by Carlyle seemed to be in a straight line, not zig zagging back over its own course, and its WAY out there, so I'd think the ancients didn't make a repair depot that far out. I wouldn't be surprised to see some people get stranded, and ...

My friend just bought a kit of those for his daughter... not very impressive results, but heck, give it a shot. I think you have to find something to put it on, he used a flat rock, just looked like reddish mush on a rock when he was done.

The purple pearl is a bit off, I've got a painted zat and TER gun, not painted by me. The Zat purple is very dark, I used the purple pearl, its almost violet/pink, cool, but not on the money. I checked michaels again, didn't see anything darker, may have to just custom them with blue instead of purp...

GOT NEW TOYS!!!! Well, I attended Comic con here in San Diego recently, as I am less than 30 minutes away :) My Col. Mitchell figure, when I opened him up, one of his hands fell off. I spoke to diamond select there at the con, mentioned that, and asked if I could get some extra ancient drone toys, a...

Excellent, I'm gonna go grab it from Michaels in a few days. Is it a spray paint or in a little plastic container like the others? I'll post up some nice pics of my laser tag guns once they are painted up when I'm done.

A voice changer could probably be done, expensively probably, but the eyes, I wouldn't trust putting an LED near my eye, no way to protect your eye from a power source, plus having a light directly on your retina, not sure how good that would be. Disguise the voice, practice :) nice cheap free way.

Well, I got to meet a large amount of the cast at Comic con 09, got a universe poster, signed by most of the cast and producers :) Very cool, I'll try to get some pics up one of these days soon :) Very interesting group, they were all con virgins, but really seemed to enjoy getting into the role and...

Ok, so I've been busy and lazy, so I worked on the drivers door panel last night. I cut out a small series of segments to resemble the inside side panels of the jumpers. You should be able to recognize it. I plan to do the top a little later. I cut a piece of plexiglass to fit in behind it, check ou...

What kind/color paints are used to make the goa'uld weapons? Like the green and metal colors. Zat and TER guns paintI think I may make paint up some of my laser guns, as they already look a bit like a serpent guard armor, figure I can just use them as a new weapon, but I need some paint.

Anybody got any idea where I could get a few more ancient drone toys? I got an idea to put some in my car for a prop, hehe, minidrones. I know the Weir figure comes with one, do any of the other figures have some?
thanks

Got my stuff, loads of figures... Just need to figure out if I'm gonna keep em and open em, or resell em on ebay. Got no room to display em, so I'm juggling that in my head. Cause I do want them, but if no display, what's the point. Anyways the models. I haven't much got into the replicator kit. It ...

Well, a small update. I just won a few auctions on ebay, so I shall soon have in hand, several sets of the toys, and a few prop replicas. I nabbed up the 1:! replicator bug prop kit, a finished open zat and a finished TER gun. And plans are unway to secure a ZPM :) Now if I can get a vacuum form pla...
